Vegan shoes without the legwork

Vegan Stella McCartney lucite heel vinyl sandals

Vegan Stella McCartney lucite heel vinyl sandals

vegan designer high heel sandal I sort of like Stella McCartney. I’d like to like her more than I do, because the world needs more vegan designer shoes, but she does use “eco-leather” in some of her shoes, which is not very vegan or even vegetarian. It’s like having a gourmet restaurant that says it’s vegetarian and then serves fish. Still, some of her shoes are indeed vegan and very gorgeous, like these plastic-fantastic heels that are just…wow. I’m not entirely sold on the colour, but am loving the design and the use of lucite, which instantly takes me back to the spirit of the 50s, before plastic became the material of choice.
This is when I get really happy about having vegan (or mostly vegan) designers out there, as vinyl shoes are not unheard of in high-fashion circles, but you’ll usually get something cruel and unnecessary like a leather lining or insole to make you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth.

Here you can just enjoy the beauty of the shoe itself.
