How cool are these? If you’ve always wanted to wear your reproductive organs or choice of menstrual gear on your sleeve (or feet), now’s your chance!
The white canvas flats from Rebel Kate feature an all over design of female reproductive organs in pretty rainbow colours. They’re part of a whole limited edition collection that also features low top and hi top Converse-type trainers and also stuff like bedding and some bags. Surprise and amaze your friends by appearing to be wearing shoes with colourful dots, only to reveal that you are actually boasting rainbow uteri and ovaries!
The blue and purple shoes feature cute little menstrual cups so you can challenge your friends, gross out your male friends and promote what I feel is the best way to handle your periods. You can also match them with cup-promoting T-shirts, bags and other cool stuff. Let’s get this conversation started in style, ladies!
I’ve never heard of this store before, but found out about it because they are currently offering free menstrual cups (you only pay the postage), which is a Very Good Thing. Let me just use this opportunity to advocate for the use of menstrual cups or reusable pads (if pads are your thing) or anything else that doesn’t involve producing the endless amount of waste that using tampons and disposable pads does. I’ve been using a cup for about 10 years and it’s been so much better for me in every way. Yes, I know the cup is not right for everyone and it does take some getting used to, but it’s worth trying, especially if you can get it for free.
I’m not sure how using a cup makes me a rebel (the marketing language on that site is a bit heavy on the virtue signalling, but whatever), but I’m totally into the stuff Rebel Kate are selling, including these super cute shoes.
The menstrual cup collection (including some crazy psychedelic hi tops) lives here.
