My plan is to update this blog once or twice a week, but then Sale Season started and I realised there are just SO MANY SHOES to write about. So in my quest to bring you some fab, accessible finds from the high street, here’s a random assortment from Zara.
Looking for vegan shoes at Zara can be a bit of a minefield. Thankfully, they have very detailed lists of materials used in every shoe, because lots of seemingly vegan shoes are hiding goat leather in unexpected places. On the other hand, they apparently don’t use animal glue, so the ones that are listed as 100% synthetic, are perfectly vegan.

Vegan Gold Court Shoes
Solid, sparkly, vegan. These sensibly heeled gold glitter heels are perfect for parties. I’m loving the shiny shiny heel and the 80s inspired glitter pattern that stretches down the sides like fingers.

Vegan Black Metal Mesh Court Shoes
Another one for the “practical yet fabulous” pile. These sparkly black courts have a shiny “metal mesh” detail on the back and sides and a tasteful patent back. If gold is not quite your colour but you want some cute party shoes you can walk around in comfortably, these pointy-toed beauties are gonna do the trick.
They are available here.
Vegan Burgundy Ballerinas with Beaded Bits
They call these “flat ballerinas”, though they actually have a very low “flat” heel and, as you can see, some straps. You’ll have to click through the link below to see what I mean. Purist ballerinas or not, these are comfortable, flat shoes in a gorgeous shade and the shiny beading on the front gives them a little upgrade, so you can wear them as party shoes if you’re not a heel gal. Alternatively, they’re a great way to dress up any everyday outfit when you want to appear just a little bit more festive. Not bad for £20.

Vegan Silver Platform Brogues
I’ve been seeing this type of shoe pop up practically everywhere this year, so I can only assume they’re squarely on trend. The chunky white platform sole is very 90s, but the whole gold / silver shoes thing has been one of my favourite trends since forever. Zara’s version now costs only £10 (!) and is, of course, 100% vegan.

Awesome Vegan Spider Mules
Not to play favourites or anything….Who am I kidding? These are totally my favourite shoes on the list. I got so excited I actually posted about them already, but they certainly deserve to be here too, cause they’re AWESOME. The whole, “goth girl grown up” effect of the giant tarantulas is just so random considering this is a mainstream high street retailer. These are the sort of shoes people will ask you about constantly, thinking they might be by some sort of alternative designer. Then you can tell them you got them in the Zara sale for £20.

Blue Vegan Fabric Brogues with White Soles
I’m not entirely sold on the white soles, let’s be honest, but I’m loving the blue fabric upper in that lovely navy blue colour. These look like they’ll be light and comfortable to wear and they actually look remarkably summery. While the sole is trendy, the uppers are pretty timeless, so you can probably wear them without fear of appearing dated till they actually die.
