Yup, yet another nautically-themed shoe in the Schuh sale. If yesterday’s one didn’t get you all hot and bothered, then this one may well do the trick.
This one’s called Marron Rope. It’s got a striped sailor shirt-like material and the ankle ties are made of rope to work the theme even more.
The fact that they are stripey and anchor-free means that you don’t have to go all sailor girl to wear them. You could match them with total land lover stuff and still look hot.
They also currently cost only £20, which is always a nice bonus (unless you’re buying something that should cost a fiver).
You can get them at the Shuch Sale.
These funky vegan wedges from Beyond Skin are fun, stylish and… half price! They’re made of cotton / canvas material and so are very summery and light.
They come in a few colours, I very much like the black and white combination, because it’s pretty eternal. You could use them to spice up a simple outfit or fit in with a posh one.
They are handmade in Spain at an ethically sound factory, which is always good to hear.
You can get them from Beyond Skin.
Oh wow how absolutely cool! These super funky vegan peep toe wedges from TUK are so wonderfully starry!
If you’re into the whole “new retro” movement, you’ll love these. They have it all – stars, contrasting nautical star closures, a good-sized wedge and a bow. Black and red is a very joyous colour combo and I really really like the star print (as you may have gathered).
To be honest, you’ll need to work quite hard to move these away from a full on goth / alternative rocker look, but on the other hand, they’d make even the simplest black dress into a full on statement outfit.
I found these on a site called eveninglady.co.uk, which seems to have plenty of sexy alternative / burlesque / tasteful stripper vegan shoes.
Well, it’s chucking it down with rain today, but summer is still sort of in the air. Here’s a pair of pale blue low wedges I found on the Debenhams site. They’re made out of canvas and look sort of trainery but very girly with it.
I used to have a very similar vintage 80s red pair that was too small so I gave it away. While these are pale blue and so not quite as cool, they’re still pretty neat. They also come in a sort of creamy white colour, though I would guess that would go a dirty grey colour very quickly.
You can get these at Debenhams. They’re only 16 pounds, too!
These cute low wedges sandals from M&S are functional, cute and dressy enough, even though they are practically flat.
They’d look great with jeans or summery dresses and would work well as funky holiday shoes. Nothing too high fashion or outrageous, but perfectly nice if you match them with something fun.
They look pretty sturdy and easy to walk around in, too, which helps if you’re going to take them out on the town on your holiday.
You can get them from the M&S site.
It’s been a while since I looked on the Marks and Spencer’s website and they seem to have quite a few exciting additions to their vegan shoe range (it’s not advertised as such, but there’s definitely a range of very vegan shoes there).
Here’s a pair of perfectly lovely summery wedges, with polka dots – everyone’s favourite pattern! (well, mine anyway). Check out their understated retro charm, in that special M&S way that’s Oh so English. Simple and effective. Like!
They also come in a very nautical red white and blue version. Awesome!
You can get them from the M&S site.
Here’s a pair of cute summery sandals from Miss L Fire.
They have a little wedge heel that’s feminine but not precarious and a rather mumsy flowery pattern that’s really rather cute.
It’s not exactly pin up or retro material like some of their other heels but is still very girlie and sweet and probably more practical for everyday activities.
You can get these from Amazon.
Vegan Shoe Addict is now entering summer party mode, where service will occasionally be intermittent.
I will be away this weekend at the ATP festival. Normal service will resume when I get back
Oh so stylish! These woven wedges from Olsen Haus are so brilliantly timeless and beautiful.
To make them even more cool – they are made out of recycled TVs! Recycled, cool and just a tiny little bit rebellious (you know, kinda like throwing away your television, but turning it into hot shoes instead).
I tweeted about these before when they were announced, but there was no direct link to buy any at the time. I think Olsen Haus make a few shoes out of TVs. These wedges are my current favourites.
Now you can buy these are Amazon.com
Apparently nautical is very in this season, so all you retro girls out there grab them while you can and you can keep existing outside of fashion in style.
These are called magda bow and are by Schuh’s own label. They’re sort of a modern take on the peep toe espadrille nautical genre thing with the trainer-like lacing, so if you’re not into being totally retro, you can look pretty current at the same time.
You can get them from Schuh.
Oh wow! These shoes are so amazing! They are by Irregular Choice and are made with a real wood platform and felt uppers. Felt is made out of wool, I believe, making these vegetarian but not vegan.
Either way, they are brilliant! Check out all the crazy felt detailing with the apples and birds and everything. Wow!
I think you’d need to have a totally mad look to have these shoes complement, rather than own it, but who cares. If you wear these, nobody will care about the rest of your outfit, cause they’d be staring at your feet all day!
You can get these from Javari.
Here’s one for the ladies from Ragazzi. They seem to have quite a few styles for women, but I like their wedges best.
There are lots to choose from, but I liked these cause they’re summery and feminine in a sweet sort of way. Good for matching up with those cute little retro summer dresses I’ve been dying to get out and wear.
These peep toe wedges come in a few different colours and the Ragazzi company is 100% vegan, ethical and fair trade, so should be encouraged.
You can get these straight from the Ragazzi site.
Oh how fun! These wedge sandals are by Sketchers and are called “Loveshine Loveseat”.
Check out the cute cut out bit, not to mention the fun stripes and the silver strap. Can’t really go wrong with black & white stripes!
I’m not so sold on having a big Sketchers logo on the sides, but I have somewhat of an aversion to logos, so I would say that.
You can get these from Schuh.
Well, someone had better pinch me, cause I’m pretty sure I’ve gone to shoe-dream heaven!
I know these are nautical and I already wrote about quite a few nautical shoes this week. I also know they are by Miss L Fire and on Office shoes, which also featured quite heavily this week. But, I mean, look at these!
Totally digging the gold trip and the rosette, plus red and white stripes are always fun.
Seriously, just looking at these absolutely lovely peep toe wedges has been getting me all excited in so many ways. The rosette comes off, if you so choose, just like the flower in the other Miss L Fire wedges I wrote about yesterday. I so totally want these as well. Now I need to decide whether I can afford to buy both. Meanwhile, I will continue to drool over both.
These also come in black and you can get them from, yes, Office.
Oh my god! How incredibly amazing are these?
The woven effect and pineapple wedge are so cool and the flower is detachable, though I think it looks pretty cool right where it is.
I totally and utterly want these. They are by Miss L Fire who make lots of gorgeous shoes, though the majority of them are not vegan. These particular ones are from the summer line which does seem to feature a few other vegan shoes. I’ll be sure to write about those too in due time. In the meantime, you should know that these also come in a red / white combo.
You can get them from Office.
Shiny metallic silver wedges, yay! There are so many cool things about these. I’m loving the snakeskin effect in silver. Very futuristic and dragon-esque.
Wedges seem to be very in this season, but frankly these are retro enough to exist outside of trends. I personally like wedges as they are quite stable, so good for people who are not very comfortable in heels. Plus, they’re hot.
You can get these from Office.
