Oh I do so love these cute TUK shoes with their 3-strap action, cut out hearts and schoolgirl charm!

They have girlie rounded toes and are surprisingly sexy for flat. Maybe it’s all that black and red and the somewhat overstrapped look that makes them a bit reminiscent of some sort of manga bondage fantasy. I’ll leave that up to you, dear readers, to decide. I’m just going to think of how cool they’re going to look on.

Is it a biker boot? Is it a cowboy boot? No! It’s this red fashion hybrid boot from TUK!

Slightly less blatantly alternative than most of their range, these seem like more mainstream boots for the girl who likes a little bit of funkiness in her trendy footwear, without putting on the punk rocker, rockabilly or mod look.
Personally, I actually prefer their more wacky creations to these, as I think these could possibly look a bit cheap in real life. While many of TUK’s non-leather shoes can appear cheaply made under close inspection, the more alternative designs are so very cool-looking, nobody really stops to think about it and / or care.

These sort of pitch themselves up against more mainstream leather shoes and I’m not sure they would come up winners. I do like the overall look, though and I think they have a sort of kink in them that makes them somewhat funkier than some of the similar non-leather boots I’ve seen around.

Aren’t these punk (or punk rocker) boots neat? These aren’t actually by Doc Martens, they are by TUK, although they look pretty damn similar, if you ask me. As far as I know, DM don’t make vegan shoes anymore, so this is one of your alternative options. Ironically, these are made in China and I do believe DM killed off their vegan line when they took production out of the UK and into China.

These boots have got it all, at least when it comes to methods of fastening – they have laces, straps and hidden inside side zips. The pattern is very goth rose, (literally. It has roses on it) but I find it quite unassuming, myself. The shape of the boot makes it lend itself to other looks apart from goth royalty, which is good, as there aren’t as many all out goths nowadays as there used to be back in the day.

Aww aren’t these just lovely? Straight off the TUK website, here are these cute black and pink heels for you girls who like being cute, but also a little bit different and ever so slightly twisted. These look like something Beetlejuice’s girlfriend would wear, so get on your black and white striped tights and let’s party! I’m loving the little bow and the sturdy heel that can only mean one thing – dancing shoes!

In my experience, TUK heels are relatively stable and comfortable and also fit wider feet. They’re not exactly delicate, but that’s all a part of the look, really.

If you’re feeling low and need a little pick-me-up, then how does an extra 5″ sound? No, not that kind of inches, you perverts! These huge huge goth mary jane platform heels by T.U.K.

These are probably the highest you can get this side of full-on stripper heels. They are called “bondage”, perhaps because of the multitude of straps.

“Maybe”, I hear some of you say, “because the heels are so high, you’d feel like you were tied up when trying to walk”. But no, my uninitiated ones, the chunky heel and platform should actually make these a relative breeze to walk (and dance) in.
In their own way, these are actually pretty sensible shoes. The flared heel means they stop short of being your standard fetish shoes (too comfortable, you see).

Not quite your office shoes either (unless your office is pretty damn cool), these are nonetheless pretty versatile when it comes to a range of alternative looks. T.U.K make the bread and butter shoes of many an alternative scene, offering a look that stands out from the uninitiated, “normal” crowds, but still follows all the fashion rules that make up the non-conformist uniform.

You could spike up an otherwise sweet retro ensemble, go for full psychobilly, dark rock chick or goth or just use these as an aid to reach high shelves or look down on people.

T.U.K shoes are generally stable and comfortable (I own a few pairs), though they do sometimes tend to scuff and mark easily. Luckily, they’re pretty cheap.
