Right now, spring is certainly looking pretty far away, but I keep telling myself it’s just around the corner. Of course, one of the best ways to feel better while going through winter is to plan ahead for all the cool spring and summer shoes you’ll be wearing next season. Schuh are always ones to pick up on current trends and offer cute, affordable versions. These cute retro shoes are actually called cherry pie, even though they actually have sparkling blackberries on them.
If you’re a vintage / retro fan, then these would be a perfect addition to your wardrobe, as they’ll never go out of fashion and would go well with all your 50s dresses.

These also come in an odd shade of black & white gingham with flowers and red raspberries instead of the blackberries. They look a bit like these poetic license heels I wrote about a while back, but with what I think is a more flattering shape.

Totally loving these amazing glitter platform heels from Schuh! Towering high at 14CM with a nice retro-esque pin uppy platform is impressive enough, but these are in amazing blue glitter. What a brilliant colour in every way.

Just imagine how amazing these would look with a 50s vintage dress, a little black dress, a catsuit, a showgirl outfit or pretty much anything you can think of.

Woohoo! Another cute pair of perfectly summery shoes from Poetic License. These are called “Sweet Shirley Temple”, I guess because they’re super cute and are made with chintzy patterned fabric that looks like something your granny would have worn as a summer dress or used as curtains. Note the super-cute tiny little cherry beads, too!

These lovely lovely wedges come in black or pink as well. You can get them all from Endless.

These Poetic License shoes are called “apple pie” and they’re as yummy as can be. Apart from this super cute pink colour, they also come in a similarly pastel blue and also in black.

They have a pretty retro profile and a super sweet little apple on the side for that extra nice little touch to make them special. Great all-seasons urban shoes to go with your retro look or add a retro edge to any other outfit without sacrificing modern trendiness.

Whenever I see white shoes I instantly think bridal, but these pretty, low-heeled peep toes could work with other outfits, really. They have a simple, classic shape but are saved from plainness by the addition of the cute little side bows.

I can’t imagine there are that many decent looking vegan bridal shoes out there and these seem pretty cute and a little bit retro, too. The main material is satin.

Another slow shoe day got me looking at the hidden treasures Amazon has to offer. So I found these, courtesy of Gwen Stefani.
These classic, pin up style pumps are made of a patent material combined with a matte one and feature a cute heart-shaped buckle. All this is balanced on a precarious stiletto heel for that extra height and relative instability.

I really wish we had Payless in the UK. Every time I take a look at their site, I find some other neat vegan shoes. I know it’s not exactly a high fashion place to shop, but shoes like these are an instant classic and you could pair them with evening outfits far, far more expensive than the $29 or whatever that they cost. Most people, I reckon, would never guess where these came from. They have major pin up factor, too. They’re designed by Lela Rose, the third designer who makes lines for Payless, alongside Isabel Toledo and Christian Siriano.

Ooooooh I love the colour of these! Deep indigo/ dark blue velvety gorgeousness shaped into an ultra sleek wedge. And check out the weird and wonderful tucked in bits at the back!

I’m always happy to see vegan shoes of deep and unusual colour and indigo….well, that’s a particularly joyous occasion.

Helloooooooo statement heels! If you want shoes that look grown up but also scream for attention, then you could do worse than these TUK heels.
Just get ready to stop every 5 seconds as you’re boldly going down the street, cause people will ask you about them all the time. Great with other boldly coloured fashion items, but not a must.

I think I’ve just found my new pair of every day heels! I must say that as much as I love the super high heel look, I actually much prefer low heels or flats for walking around in on a daily basis and generally for dancing in. These are just so unassumingly cute and the scallop edge gives them a really nice retro twist that just makes you wanna go “awwwww”.

Another affordable pair of perfectly usable and pretty shoes from Schuh. They’re called Clara scallop bar.

This one goes out to you Americans who want to get the beautiful Beyond Skin shoes but don’t want to get shafted on customs or pay higher delivery charges.

Here are the lovely Amelia shoes on Amazon.com with free delivery and no customs fees (if you live in the US, that is). Aren’t these hot? You could absolutely wear them to some stuck up fancy job and still feel sexy and be comfortable. Or you could just wear them out somewhere fun instead.

These vegan heels have a nice t-bar, though, and are in black and white. Another instant classic that needed the recent vintage / retro subculture thing to explode into the mainstream in order for us veggies to be able to get out hands on retro-worthy shoes.

Well, these will come in handy! If you’re looking for retro-look vintage heels to go with your vintage look and are stuck because of size and material issues, these unassuming beauties will make you smile as much as they made me smile. They are wonderfully neutral and super classic.

These Vera ballerina flats by Rocket Dog are pretty perfect for the changing season. I love functional shoes that deliver a bit of style with the function and these do the trick nicely. The big bows make them slightly more interesting than your average flat but they can be worn with everything without clashing.

Being flats, they are a bit more Minnie Mouse than Betty Boop when it comes to retro finery, but I know many of my readers prefer flats to heels and these would definitely dress you up good without taxing your comfort levels.
