Apparently Olsen Haus make these. They don’t look anything like the other stuff I’ve seen from them, but apparently they are by them.
I quite like this style, seems a bit biker-esque but a bit less out there than their usual stuff. I’ve been looking for decent knee high boots and these look like the sort of thing I’m after. I’m not sure I’d want to pay $260 for them, though. Would you? (this isn’t a rhetorical question, by the way, I really want to know!)
You can get them from Amazon.
I do believe these are last season’s from ethical vegan shoemakers Beyond Skin. Personally, I don’t care. Well, I do care, because this means they are now less than half price. The bad news is, there are only a few sizes left. Maybe one of them is yours?
These are made out of hemp, so I’m not sure how they’d do in heavy rain but they do look super stylish and pretty comfy.
You can get them from Amazon.
Good old Marks & Spencer. Just when I was about to give up on finding vegan boots in the new season lines of the high street retailers, here they are with uhh… at least one vegan boot (there are a couple of other stretch ones, I believe).
Yes, even Marks have gone nearly all leather this season, but these boots you see before you are the main exception and are actually almost, well, goth boots. They’re also a bit retro, if you ask me, and not too expensive at £49. Nice going, M&S.
You can get these from the Marks and Spencer’s site.
Still with Novacas today and these superstylish fabric knee high boots.
They are perfect for both woth and wearing out on the town and, while not exactly snow hiking boots, should be perfect for the current season and places where winter doesn’t require you to wear boots that are padded and oiled.
You can get them from Mooshoes
Although I have been personally spared so far, I am getting reports telling me winter is decidedly on its way. As we all know, winter is that annoying season of the year when mainstream designers abandon the more “whimsical” vegan materials and turn to good old leather for comfort. Bleah.
Luckily, there are vegan shoe designers out there, such as Cri de Coeur. Here’s some mock croc boots for you. They come in this and a darker shade (called “black” but it isn’t) and even though they are officially from last winter’s season, they are timeless enough for any season.
You can get these from Amazon.
Here’s another mad pair of boots from the Irregular Choice vegetarian range. These are fresh in from the autumn collection and feature a strange sculpted shape that sort of changes profile up your leg, plus a whole load of tassles and a big shiny star thing on the heel.
They’re black enough to go with all your outfits, but mad enough to stand out and be counted.
You can get them from the Irregular Choice site.
Yes, Converse all stars are the tofu and nut cutlet of the vegan shoe world, but these are knee high! I’ve seen lots of cheap Converse knock offs doing this look, but this is the first time I’ve seen a real deal one appear in recent years. Relive the casual 90s in sexy style with these. They even have zips down the back so you don’t have to spend half your day getting them on and off. They also come in classic black and white.
You can get them from Schuh.
