If you liked the higher heeled vegan oxfords I wrote about recently but aren’t that keen on high heels, then these are definitely the shoes for you. They are small and cute and very flat, apart from having the tiniest heel. they’re also made by NeuAura which is a vegan-owned, ethical company.
They’d make good every day shoes that you could also wear to work.
You can get them from Vickerey.
As the UK braces itself for more snow and drifts caused by “Siberian winds” (!) I give you these Crocs winter boots.
Crocs aren’t exactly at the cutting edge of style, but these aren’t actually that bad at all, as far as Crocs go. They are certainly a lot more stylish than Ugg boots (Ugh boots!) and their various equally ugly rip offs.
They also come in a shade of creamy white that is also easy on the eye.
They’re made out of microsuede (so not real suede) and are lined so should keep you reasonably warm.
You can get them from Amazon.
M&S are doing vegan biker boots now? Yup, that’s right. Well, they are not proper biker boots to wear while you’re riding your bike, but they are certainly biker style to go with your biker or rocket style outfit. We’re talking cheapish boots here – £35, which is very handy.
They might not be the most high fashion offering on the market, but they are a good basic pair that will fit in with an every day outfit.
You can get them from the M&S site.
These Vera ballerina flats by Rocket Dog are pretty perfect for the changing season. I love functional shoes that deliver a bit of style with the function and these do the trick nicely. The big bows make them slightly more interesting than your average flat but they can be worn with everything without clashing.
Being flats, they are a bit more Minnie Mouse than Betty Boop when it comes to retro finery, but I know many of my readers prefer flats to heels and these would definitely dress you up good without taxing your comfort levels.
You can get them from Schuh.
Ok, just one more Terra Plana one, cause I’m really glad these guys have a vegan range.
I love the visible stitching on these. They’re not quite your average office wear but boy are they funky. An interesting take on the standard court shoe that’s quite feminine but also a bit out there.
They could make very cool everyday heels with a twist that you could wear with just about anything old or new.
You can get them from the Terra Plana site.
These faux suede boots from Vegetarian Shoes look like great every day casual to smart casual boots. They’re simple and comfortable-looking with a low heel and you could obviously wear them with just about anything. I like the pointy toe. I guess that’s why they call them “Pixie boots”.
You could dress them up or down, for work or play and they’d be fine. If you’re the sort of person who fixates on one pair of shoes and wears them all the time till they die, then fixate on these – they’ll work out just fine.
They are simple, but most likely much better made than the cheap knock offs you’re likely to get in the usual faux suede department.
Oddly enough, it’s sometimes very easy to find weird and wonderful vegan shoes, but not so much your simple but stylish every day shoe. Vegetarian Shoes are good at producing good every day, functional footwear and every once in a while they have something that’s really very cool. These boots are a fine example of that.
You can get them from the Vegetarian Shoes website.
