I got contacted by Petra Holíková, the designer of this beautiful vegan shoes and it made me very happy. Aren’t these amazing? Click the image to go to a bigger image where you can get a really good look! They’re all made of natural cotton and rubber, so very eco friendly and the designs are pretty unique and very beautiful. If you’re anything like me then you’ll be keen to get your hands on these shoes and the good news is that even though these were a project for Holíková ‘s design MA, you will be able to get them very soon.
The bad news it that they’re only coming out in August or September and the site that will sell them is in Slovakia. Still, it’s got English on it, so you won’t need to struggle with a foreign language to own these. I can’t wait myself!

Hoki is a small Israeli company that started when the founder cycled past one of those super dated shoe places in the south of Tel Aviv and rediscovered a bunch of old stock plastic slippers housewives used to wear in the 70s and 80s.
She managed to track down and buy the pattern from the company that used to make these and started her own business selling plastic only shoes. Since then, she’s added some pretty hot designs to the collection, uncluding these shiny wedge rain boots with this neat quilting and a style that is decidedly unlike your average wellie.

You can’t buy the shoes from the site, so you will have to email them to ask if there are any stores selling them in your area (they have been expanding into the international market). You may also be able to get them to send you some.

Aren’t these hot? I know it’s a bit wrong, but I’m kinda thinking “Flash Gordon” but in a totally good way. I guess what I mean it’s that they’re sort of 80s inspired but still modern and cool.

How cute are these??? OK, that was a rhetorical question, but I feel I should answer it anyway – very cute!

They’re mostly canvas, so quite casual, but quite retro and even a bit pin up girl with it.
The heels are very stable-looking, so I reckon these would make fun and quirky every day shoes if you like wearing heels but don’t always want to go full out retro femme fatale.
They have lots of hearts on them – in the lining as well as a big one on the bottom of the sole. I just love all those little nice touches.

Oh I do like these. The are called “Blondie”, so I am wondering whether they’re inspired by THE Blondie. It could well be, cause they are sexy but not in a slutty way and have that hot patent (some kind of more enviro-friendly PVC is it?) patch mixed in with the grey suede-like thing.
The heel looks like a reasonable height too, but definitely sexy.
At $265 they may be a bit steep for some, but boy are they hot…
I could talk all day about these boots, really, but I’m not going to. I’m just going to look at them instead and think of where I can get $265 from. If anyone from Olsen Haus is reading, I write even better reviews of shoes that I own
