Ooooh I do like these! How can shoes that have so many different colours and very 80s-tastic fake gems look so adoringly classy? Well, I don’t know but here they are.
The perfect shoes to be wearing when you stick your foot out of the limo’s door so it can be snapped before it reaches the red carpet. And hey, with so many different colours, it’s bound to match even the tackiest of pink limos.
For us mere mortals, I’d settle for wearing these on a posh night of the town. I so want these!
You can get them from Modcloth. I’d say hurry up if you’re considering it, cause they seem to run out of things pretty fast.
I got so excited about these I accidentally posted this yesterday. If you were fast enough, you got a sneak preview. I could have let you have it, but no. You only get one post a day so here it is.
I gotta say that these utterly delectable vegan boots from Cri de Coeur are making me want to do things to shoes that shouldn’t be discussed in polite company. They have an actual wooden platform – not fake plastic wood. This makes me happy in a special way.
Unlike most shoes with a real wooden platform, though, they are made out of fake suede and fabric, without any leather in sight. The fact that they are also ethical and eco-friendly makes them even sexier.
I think I may actually be in love. Why don’t you run along now and look at them, so I can stay on my own for a little while and look at them too?
You can get them from Endless.com. For $390. Sigh.

I wrote a whole post about these shoes, because they appeared to be vegan on the Schuh site.
However, it turns out they have a bit of leather on them and are not 100% vegan. What a pisser.
I hate it when that happens. Shoe shops forget to mention that there’s a leather trip on the shoe. I was looking at the Irregular Choice site today and it mentions it. Leaving this here as a warning. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, avoid these! They are not vegan.
I saw the link to these pop up on Twitter and just had to ask if they were vegan. They are! Sometimes, there is a god.
These shiny Galactii Bow boots by Irregular Choice look like gift wrapping for your feet. Crazy-weird but oh so sexy. Check out the pics for a look at the wicked multi-coloured zip on the inside of each shoe, and what’s this on the bottom of each sole? Why, it’s a bunny in a teapot print!
As usual, IC went all out with the weird and wonderful touches for a sort of glam Alice in Wonderland themed boot. Sort of like something the red queen would wear on a date with Ziggy Stardust.
You can get them from Schuh .
It’s been a while since I’ve had some mad Irregular Choice shoes on here, so here’s their “Northern Lass” shoes.
They’re like a cross between Dutch clogs, a Christmas jumper and drag queen heels. I love them.
Note that these are made out of felt. I’m not sure what kind of felt that is. Obviously, if it’s wool felt, they’re vegetarian but not vegan.
You can get them on the Irregular Choice website.
My friend sent me a link to this guy’s blog. He is an Israeli shoe designer who, apart from the obligatory leather designs also has a few designs in purely vegan materials.
His designs are more like weird wearable art than actual every day shoes and I have no idea where or how you could ever get any of them, but I like the fact that he’s actually made several things out of fake leather and fabric without using any leather. I wish more designers (both young and established) would throw us the occasional vegan shoe bone to play with. Don’t you?
See more shoes (vegan and not) in his blog.
Yes, I said zombie boots and I meant it.
These vegan ankle boots have actual zombie hands (well, prints of) grabbing at your feet from the grave.
Handy (I can’t believe I just said that) if you have a sense of humour, not so much if you take your alternative emo or gothness a tad too wristy-slashy.
These boots have quite a grown up shape, too, so will suit you if you have a twisted little child inside but want to be sexy and fashionable at the same time.
I found these on the Attitude Clothing site.
Finally! A vegan version of the famous TUK kitty shoes! the TUK Kitty Check shoe follows a whole line of these ultra neat kitty shoes that all came in leather. The checked version, on the other hand, is vegan, baby!
I’ve wanted a pair of the kitty shoes for so long. You won’t believe how happy I am to see these! Joining them in the vegan range are also the TUK teddy rotten mary janes. Sort of like a cross between punk and sanrio with superior strapping. Check em out.
You can get the lot from Schuh.
There aren’t enough exclamation marks in the world to do these justice, so I’m not even going to try.
So apparently both Sanrio and Doc Martens celebrate their 50th birthday this year, so they got together and made some shoes. The whole range is gorgeous, actually, but this is the only style not made of leather. They feature lots of characters from the Sanrio range, including, of course, Hello Kitty.
Do I need to say how cute these are again? I’ll have two!
These will be out in stores on September 1st. In the meantime, you can pre order them on the Doc Martens site.
Here’s another mad pair of boots from the Irregular Choice vegetarian range. These are fresh in from the autumn collection and feature a strange sculpted shape that sort of changes profile up your leg, plus a whole load of tassles and a big shiny star thing on the heel.
They’re black enough to go with all your outfits, but mad enough to stand out and be counted.
You can get them from the Irregular Choice site.
These are so fun! I really want a pair of these. They’re by Irregular Choice, which is why they are so bright and crazy, even though they have a relatively simple shape. The other shoes in this range come with a fabric top, I think, but I am pretty sure these are rubber / plastic rather than fabric.
These are the sort of shoes that would make any simple outfit shine. You can instantly stand out even if you’re just wearing jeans and a t shirt. The lazy fashionista in me loves that.
You can get them directly from Irregular Choice.
Here’s a pair of weird perforated black and white vegan shoes I found on the Next site. To be honest, I am not sure what I think about these. I’d be interested to hear your opinions as I just cannot make up my mind!
They are certainly unusual, somewhat retro and definitely summery. I think with the right outfit they could look pretty impressive. The right outfit being something quirky and unusual as well. Something like a giant staw hat and oddly shaped summer dress.
So what do you think? Would you wear these? What would you wear them with?
You can get them from the Next website.
Just look at these mad heels! Yes, that’s a clear heel they’ve got, just like the carved lucite heels of yore. I’m not sure this is lucite (in fact, I’m pretty sure it isn’t), but it’s still pretty damn cool. I like the pattern as well. It actually reminds me of summer blankets from the late 60s / early 70s. I’ve put them on as party shoes cause you could (and should) definitely wear them out somewhere fancy, but the pattern makes them almost more suitable for being day shoes, I think.
My first thought when I saw these was that the big bow was going to be made of leather, but no! Add that to Irregular Choice’s (for it is they who make these shoes) recent habit of lining their shoes with velvet and you’ve got a very nice pair of non-leather heels. To-ta-lly brilliant!
You can get these from Schuh.
These are just soooooooo cool! I love the so-called “heartshaped” toes. They look like those Chinese and Japanese toe-shoes and socks.
The design in general looks rather far-eastern, with lots of pretty flower patterns. Like all of the IC shoes, these are statement shoes. They will easily take over a look and, whille an obvious talking point, you’ll need to think a bit before you match them with something that isn’t an easy solid.
Still, they will totally dress up a simple jeans and a t shirt or summer dress outfit and you’ll have everyone asking you where you got them.
Tell them you heard about them here and bought them cheaply on Amazon.
Another mad one from Melissa Shoes. How can sandals look at once so stylish and so crazy?
Yes, that is a plastic mouse stuck on the side of the sandal. Don’t ask me why there is a plastic mouse there, there just is. However, the funky pattern makes these sandals look oddly classy for footwear adorned with a plastic mouse. I actually tagged these with smart casual, as I think you could get away with wearing them somewhere that requires a fashionable attire but can tolerate a certain amount of funk.
I found these on the Melissa site (where there are plenty more colours) but these particular ones are on sale from the Asos site.
