Fun vegan rubber strawberry pumps

vegan strawberry pumps Another pair of shoes for girls with a good sense of fun. These silly rubber pumps, apart from being cute, will also stop your feet from getting wet (in extremely shallow puddles), but let’s not pretend anyone would ever buy these for reasons of practicality. If you’ve got a hidden Strawberry Shortcake inside you, then you’ll love jumping about in these. Check out the neat polka dot pattern inside, too!

They also come in another loud pattern that’s definitely not strawberry-oriented, but is sort of retro 70s European mixed with chic green and white polka dots inside.

You can get either one at the Chinese Laundry site.

Hot vegan high stiletto tattoo heels

vegan stiletto heels Pure rockabilly fetish heaven! Here’s another totally outrageous pair of super high heels from Penthouse shoes. I’ve written about another pair of their vegan high heels before and I’m really getting into this brand. I wonder if they’re called Penthouse cause their heels are so high?

Not all their shoes have tattoos on them, but for some reason I seem to be drawn to those that do. So here we have a cute “love & hate” tattoo design on the platform, with a sexy red mock crock and a cute little key charm dangling from the heel. As if that wasn’t enough, you’ve also got cherries, swallows and stars everywhere. These guys take no prisoners when it comes to loading up on the rockabilly imagery. Pure pin up class all the way, baby!

Yes, I know these aren’t particularly practical unless you were born in heels, but posing also works for me. They are just soooo cool.

You can get these hot hot heels from Amazon / Endless.

Mad vegan high fronted petal heels

Well, these are pretty odd aren’t they? Sort of like some sort of foot-flower thing. They have a zipper on the back too, to add to the sexiness. Definitely an unusual pair of shoes and pretty cheap too.

There’s something about these that makes them rather sexy, I think. They could be paired up with a slinky, sexy outfit and almost be quite fetishy.

Oddly enough, they also come in a weird shade of pink too (also with silver). I think the black is definitely the winner here, though.

You can get these weird vegan heels from Dorothy Perkins.

Vegan pink leopard print high heels

vegan pink leopard print heels Bold animal patterns seem to still be doing well nowadays, so here’s another pair of heels that fits in with the whole 80s scheme of things AND the animal pattern scheme. Not exactly red carpet material but as cheap, fun and loud as a sitcom college girlfriend.

If you like pink, then these are definitely for you. Otherwise – probably not so much. They do have a bit of the bimbo in them, but in a fun way that doesn’t take itself too seriously (I hope) so you could work them into quite a tongue in cheek look.

Alternatively, you could be dead serious about the whole thing, but I would probably advise against it.

You can get these from Dorothy Perkins.

Vegan Punky Brewster trainers

vegan punky high top trainers I know I’m showing my age here, but Punky Brewster is all I can think about when I see these. They are so totally 80s teenager. I love it! Ok, I can think of a few other things too – My little pony and the care bears being but a couple…

We’ve got denim, we’ve got the classic high-top shape and there’s zips and stars too with plenty of colours and, most importantly, bright pink laces and lining! All you’d need to do is infuse these with a pencil eraser scent and I’d literally fall down and cry with nostalgic tears of joy.

I mean, you have to be a little bit 12 to wear them (even if only on the inside) but oh to be 12 again and teeny-bop along to your favourite pop songs with these on! We do love shoes with a sense of humour here at Vegan Shoe Addict, so bring on the rainbow!

You can get these vegan 80s trainers from Cloggs and they also come in a somewhat more subdued version with black, pink and turquoise.

Vegan mad 80s skull and rose heels

vegan skull and rose heels The week of canvas trainers is behind us, so it’s time to break away from that look for a bit and go for something totally and utterly different!

Well, here we have the Mombassa punk heels from Iron Fist. If by “punk” they mean sort of 80s and trashy then they hit the nail on the head. Not sure about the Mombassa bit, but I do like the whole skull and rose thing they’ve got going on. I wonder if the bright colour scheme looked somewhat like African fabric to someone, hence the name? It does look a bit Sunday best if you ignore the skulls.

Either way,These are perfect for your hot, trashy bimbo outfit. I mean, you could wear them with something a bit more traditional and subdued, but why bother?

You could totally live out your 80s road movie fantasy in these. Or your Madonna wannabe fantasy, or, well, plenty of other fantasies, really, as long as they’re sort of 80s and punkish.

You can get these at Schuh.

Vegan cut out trainers

vegan cut out trainersOK, these are weird. They look like normal trainers, but no! They’re all cut up, Kinda like the slashed T-shirts of days gone by or a canvas sneaker-sandal.

If you liked that 80s torn-up punk look, you can now have it on your feet as well, which is pretty exciting, really. They’re definitely eye-catching and different, but are they practical? Do we care?

Thinking ahead to a nice hot summer… We probably don’t. They’re flat and comfortable and they’d go with all your funky electro-punk clubwear.
They also come in white and there’s a rather loud 80s-tastic plaid version too.

You can get these from Office.

Mad vegan rockabilly cork wedges

vegan rockabilly cork wedges Well, it doesn’t get much crazier than this, does it? I’m not sure where you’d wear these to, how, what with or why, but here they are. They are pretty over the top in every way possible. I mean, they’ve got a wedge, they’ve got colourful tattoo designs, there’s some sort of dangly thing at the back and there’s even one with leopard print. Someone’s obviously taken every possible new rockabilly trick in the book and put it into a shoe.

I guess you need to be a very particular kind of person to be able to carry these off and do them justice and if you are that person, then you’re already reaching for your card and counting the minutes till your emotional meeting. I salute you!

You can get these by following this link.

Vegan see-through fashion rain boots

vegan rain boots I just love these vegan rain boots by Fessura. They come in a little see-through bag in the same colour as your boots (there’s red, clear, orange, yellow, grey and pink, I think) and you also get a pair of stripey socks to wear them with.

I’m not sure I’d want to be wandering round carrying a bag with boots in as well as a normal bag, but I’m sure I could find a use for a cute see-through bag anyway.

The boots themselves are very plasticy and a bit stiff. Sort of like wearing one of those hot plastic raincoats on your feet. I’m pretty sure that’s the whole point of the boots – you carry them around in your bag and change out of your sexy Italian heels into these when it looks like it’s going to be puddle weather (Fessura are an Italian label).

I don’t own a pair, but I’ve handled them. They’re definitely not as sturdy as a pair of wellies but they are definitely wickedly fashionable and cool to be seen in.

You can get these from Amazon.

Vegan funky Harajuku lovers boots

vegan funky slouch boots How totally awesome are these? Grey with tan may not be the obvious choice but these seem to make it work. I like the whole casual, alternative yet ultra hip and stylish feel these have. The strappy bits are just a tiny bit kinky, too, but totally not in an overt way.

I gather this is Gwen Stefani’s label and I do like her style. Apparently it’s huge in the Far East, which is hardly surprising with a name like that and a look like that which is indeed very Japanese-inspired.

I’ve tagged them with “crazy shoes”, but mostly because one of the other colour combinations they come in is fairly crazy. You can get that one elsewhere and also a black / brown version which is also very cool. The black and the grey versions are very respectable, I find.

You can get these particular grey vegan boots from Zappos

Vegan 80s heels

vegan 80s heels Who said the 80s were dead? Here are a couple of 80s styles to go with your shoulder pads and that jump suit or cat suit you’ve been keeping in your wardrobe. So first up are the Zebracorn heels from Iron Fist. Their shoes are usually a bit more emo / teeny-goth, but not these. Ooooh aren’t they Miami Vice (and no, that wasn’t Cockney rhyming slang).
If you’re the kind of gal who sees 80s as retro, then these will go well with all your charity shop purchases (or posh vintage shop purchases, whatever works).

vegan 80s pumps
But if the wild tropical animal pattern paradise is not your thing, then how about these paint splash beauties straight from the dark, arty clubs of New York city? Everyone will be asking “who’s that girl?” when you wear these.

I’m sorry, I just can’t do 80s stuff with a straight face. I find the whole look so incredibly over the top.

But hey, if this is your look and you’re all about the jump suit, the bleached jeans and the batwing tops then definitely add these to your arsenal of fun.

They’re called Mistie Airbrush and are by Rocket dog. You can get both of these at Schuh.

And here’s a little something to get you in the mood for strutting your stuff in these vegan 80s heels:

Unusual vegan elastic shoes

vegan elastic pumps OK, these aren’t actually mine. They belong to my friend, who was kind enough to model them for me.

These are by Italian label, Fessura (beware of somewhat shitty website that plays loud music at you and takes forever to actually show you any shoes) who seem to have a good range of vegan shoes among their flock.

These shoes are, as often is the case in this blog, of the “love em or hate em” ilk. As my friend says, “people either love them or think they look like a plaster cast”.

They are incredibly comfortable, hard wearing and can be worn in several different styles, as the elastic strapping is very versatile and can be changed around or removed altogether (although that just makes the shoes look like simple black pumps so isn’t nearly as exciting).

unusual vegan fessura pumps

They make fine casual every day shoes, as they are comfortable and can be worn in any situation where you’d normally wear trainers (only obviously they are somewhat more unusual and exciting).

So where do you get them from? Well, they are called Fessura Shell Band, so happy hunting. My own googling efforts have only brought up some Japanese sites selling them (at least I think that’s what they’re doing) and an Italian website that used to sell them.

Not much help, I know, but at least now you know about the brand itself, which is good, as they do make quite a few other vegan shoes…

Vegan super high top art trainers

vegan high top art trainers Happy new year! And here is the first pair of vegan shoes for 2010. These Ed Hardy trainer boot things are so cool. They come in a load of different and funky designs, are shin high and are definitely very unusual. Check out the tattoo geisha artwork with the whole skater-urban-somewhat LA awesomeness. Are those silvery sequin trims too? Oh I do believe they are! Not much else to say really, as I think these speak for themselves. This isn’t exactly a new look (OK, not at all) but who cares?

I fear we are, once more, in the realm of the love ‘em or hate ‘em, but these would definitely fit right in with a few very distinct types of personal style. I am not actually sure whether these are officially for men or women. I think these are pretty unisex. Just remember to order the right size.

I know this sort of basketball boot look is the obvious fall back plan of any vegan, but at least with these you can make a statement that isn’t “there’s no other shoes I can get”. I’m thinking more of a “check out my totally awesome crazy shoes” kind of statement.

I found these on Amazon.com .

Weird vegan Alladin shoes

vegan Alladin shoes Well, Christmas is not long gone and if you’re in the UK, you’d have no doubt been surrounded by pantomimes, including this year’s hit Alladin, starring Brian Blessed and Pamela Anderson. Alternatively, you may have seen the trailer for next summer’s long-awaited Prince of Persia film. You know what I’m getting at, right? Do I need to explain the joke further? OK!

If you’ve been harbouring dreams of having your very own genie or being a grand wazir (or vizier, if you will), then here’s your chance to dress the part, or at least to top off your harem pants and embroidered vest with the perfect pair of matching shoes!

These pointy, spotty shoes are your magic carpet to a world of desert fantasy. They are by Irregular Choice and are called Mary Piper. These are one of the only pairs of shoes of theirs I’ve ever seen that don’t have some kind of hidden leather enemy conceleaed somewhere in the lining, which is a shame, cause some of their shoes don’t actually look like they were made by and for Disney.

I’m really not sure what you’d wear these with, but they’re vegan and weird so I’m going to write about them as I’m sure someone somewhere would be very excited to be able to wear them. Personally, I love the whole upward pointy toe thing, though I think I’d be happier with a less clown-like pattern on mine. Still, anything for a laugh, right?

You can get them from Schuh.

Vegan polka dot oversized bow heels

Vegan big bow polka dot shoes

It’s definitely been the week for crazy shoes, but you know how it is: we’re never gonna survive unless we are a little… crazy! (Cheers, Seal, for that fine truism).

OK, so these might not be quite as crazy as the last two pairs I wrote about, but they’re still pretty out there, so the perfect “a little bit crazy” shoes.

I can’t make up my mind about these shoes. I love the colour and the polka dot pattern and the big oversized heel gives them a sort of childish girly charm. I even like the fact that it’s a fabric upper, which adds to the retro-styling. Not sure if the bow is a little bit over the top, though. A bit, Minnie Mouse…

I’m kinda thinking that with the right vintage outfit (not the more refined, dainty type, but the somewhat more alternative, oddball type) these could look pretty wicked. They’re definitely of the sort that are just about wrong enough to be right, but you’d have to wear them, well, somewhat ironically for it to work. I mean, after all, how could you take them too seriously?

These mad vegan heels are available from Miss Selfridge. They also come in an all black version.
