Check these out! These are called “sinking ships” and they’re by Iron fist who are very good at making grown up shoes with a sort of lolita teenage appeal.
These are sort of nautical (the anchor on the bow, the lining and the soles) but also sort of not. They’re definitely not your average nautical heels. I’m sure there’s loads more to say about these, but I am too busy wiping my chin from the hot shoe induced drool so I’ll just leave it at this.
You can (and totally should) get them from Cloggs.
It’d been a while since I’d looked at Chinese Launrdy, so I figured I’d check to see what their winter offerings are like. Well, it’s a good thing I did, cause they seem to have a good line of decent looking vegan boots.
These strappy, studded lace ups are a good example. My favourite type of every day boot – generic enough to be worn with a range of things but different enough to be interesting. Good if you like brown.
You can get them at Chinese Laundry.
I try not to write about eBay stuff too much cause it changes and disappears too quickly, but I came across these and they are cute and cozy-looking. There seem to be a bunch of size 5s (UK) and there seem to be some size 4s, though sadly I couldn’t find any higher sizes.
They look like a cross between Ugg boots and something you might actually want to wear.
If you’re quick, you can get some on eBay.
Here’s another cool take on a modern classic. These are unisex and have a cool lacing thing going on instead of your usual criss cross variety, plus a front zip.
I guess these sort of Converse-like trainers will never go out of style, so you may as well keep wearing them and keep finding slightly different and new ways to augment the look. I’m liking the patch on the side as well.
You can get these from Draven shoes.
Every time I look at the Irregular Choice site there’s something new and exciting in their vegan department. Like these really really cool heels with the big star on the back and the neat polka dot lining.
I think I might have to get myself a pair of these when I am back in the UK. I am currently on a trip around Western USA, hence the occasional delay in posting.
You can beat me to it and get these from the Irregular Choice site.
Well, it’s been at least days since I’ve written about Irregular Choice shoes, so here’s a pair of some extra cute ballerina flats from them, new this season.
They have Bambi on them, plus cute mushrooms and those really cute “sweetheart” toes that look like Japanese shoes.
Irregular Choice do these really gorgeous mushroom shoes that are sadly very leather, so I’ve been pining for shoes with mushrooms on them ever since (yes, seriously. Pining) These are probably as close as I will get out of them so I’m all excited
You can get them directly from the Irregular Choice site.
These “Jao” boots by Blowfish are pretty rocking. I just love the shape with the huge collar and all. Definitely unusual and super cute, in a hard studded punk rock sort of way (well, as much as you can get away with without the use of leather). Perfect to wear with something skinny for the changing season (damn you, changing season! But at least we can deal with you in style).
You can get them from Schuh.
Yes, I said zombie boots and I meant it.
These vegan ankle boots have actual zombie hands (well, prints of) grabbing at your feet from the grave.
Handy (I can’t believe I just said that) if you have a sense of humour, not so much if you take your alternative emo or gothness a tad too wristy-slashy.
These boots have quite a grown up shape, too, so will suit you if you have a twisted little child inside but want to be sexy and fashionable at the same time.
I found these on the Attitude Clothing site.
It’s been a while since I’ve written about proper goth shoes in this blog and seeing as I know plenty of goth vegans, I think it’s time for another look at what’s out there.
These impressive metal heeled platform boots are made by New Rock, known for making mostly leather cyber-biker boots.
Apaprently they have several ranges of vegan shoes now, all very goth looking with lots of metal and spikes.
I like these because I like my heels pretty solid and I do like the strapping, especially the straps on the actual heel. The shape of the toes is pretty intriguing too. Sexy!
If you’re into the goth / industrial / fetish style, then they’ll fit you like a latex glove.
I found them on a website called The Lair.

UPDATE: See comments below, as these have been found on the TUK site and it says they are not vegan. Everywhere else I’ve seen them says they’re vegan, but I assume TUK know best about what their shoes are made out of. Such a shame!
I wonder why all the other places are saying these are vegan? Could they have been stickered with the wrong stickers or something? If anyone is near a shop where these are sold, I’d be grateful if you could take a look. I might actually write to TUK and ask!
Finally! A vegan version of the famous TUK kitty shoes! the TUK Kitty Check shoe follows a whole line of these ultra neat kitty shoes that all came in leather. The checked version, on the other hand, is vegan, baby!
I’ve wanted a pair of the kitty shoes for so long. You won’t believe how happy I am to see these! Joining them in the vegan range are also the TUK teddy rotten mary janes. Sort of like a cross between punk and sanrio with superior strapping. Check em out.
You can get the lot from Schuh.
There aren’t enough exclamation marks in the world to do these justice, so I’m not even going to try.
So apparently both Sanrio and Doc Martens celebrate their 50th birthday this year, so they got together and made some shoes. The whole range is gorgeous, actually, but this is the only style not made of leather. They feature lots of characters from the Sanrio range, including, of course, Hello Kitty.
Do I need to say how cute these are again? I’ll have two!
These will be out in stores on September 1st. In the meantime, you can pre order them on the Doc Martens site.
It’s been a nice summer so far, so it’s sad to think of it slowly dying away. Still, when new season boots start appearing on the shoe site, you know the end is coming.
At least these Rumble boots by Rocket Dog are out to make the deal as sweet as can be. They’re all buckled and studded for that tough industrial look (I say look, cause in my experience Rocket Dog stuff isn’t made in tough Lorica but slightly less tough vegan materials) and have a handy inside zip for making life easier.
The most important thing is that they actually look chunky and serious, unlike many other types of vegan biker boots that look like crap.
You can get them from Schuh.
These cool urban vegan trainers by Draven have funky skulls on them that look very Day of the Dead. That is very cool.
They also apparently say “Rock & Roll” on them, which is sort of less cool in a trying too hard to be cool and appeal to a certain kind of teenager sort of way. Oh well, can’t have everything. At least that bit doesn’t seem too obvious, while the cool skulls are very obvious.
They come in two understated shades which means you can wear them with everything. Handy if you’re a bloke who hates buying shoes and want a pair of shoes you can live in till either one of you dies.
You can get them on the Draven site.
How utterly cool! Here’s a wicked twist on your usual casual, simple canvas round-toed flats – a funky voodoo doll design. To make things even cooler, each shoe in the pair is different. I’ve seen quite a few shoe companies use this trick and it works really well, but usually it’s all leather. Boo.
These, however, are totally vegan. They are by Draven who make a whole load of cool vegan shoes that I will be reviewing on this very website soon. Check in this week for more Draven action, as I really like these guys.
In the meantime, you can get these from the Draven site in America.
