And tonight on “Shoes that make you go oooooooooh” – these sandals by Harajuku Lovers! They are so, so so so cute.
They come in black, white, red or yellow and each colour has its own cool little lady on the insole. It’s almost like a collect them all Pokemon thing and, frankly, at $35 a pair, it’s almost tempting to get a few different colours. I love the sexy wedge that’s just high enough to give you a nice profile but not too insane and I love the girlie bow. I also have a thing for jelly shoes, so I may be a bit biased, but I think these would make perfect summer shoes for everywhere and everything. If you’re the sort of person who likes even your casualest of beachwear to have a classy retro touch, then these are your sandals.
You can get them from Endless.
There’s a time and a place for trashy gold heels and when the time comes. It’s good to know that you can get fairly decent vegan ones from H&M. These happy strappy gold sandals are out for spring, so if you feel the need to stylishly pimp up your personal style, you can grab a pair of these. With a tight black outfit without too many other bells and whistles, these could actually look almost classy, but you can go wild with your imagination if you want to look super 80s trashy style and match them with some sort of loud hipster ensemble for the full effect.
You can get them at H&M.
It might not look it, but summer is really just around the corner. You can always tell by the fact that shoe shops start selling summery shoes. Well, these simple vegan sandals come with a nice twist in the shape of the cute little butterfly. They are by Mel, which appears to be a new, more affordable offshoot of Melissa Shoes. Like Melissa’s more high class, designer range, these are made out of that special plastic of theirs and they so far seem to come in red and black (though maybe there are other colours out there, who knows?).
They’re pretty and fun and bound to go with most of your casual summer outfits. You can get them from Office Shoes.

I just love love love cherry red coloured shoes, so it’s very jolly that I happened to check Modcloth today for new vegan shoes and found these hot pin up wedge sandals by Harajuku Lovers. They make the most gorgeous shoes and it seems quite a few of them are veggie (though many, sadly, aren’t. Boo). They’re so shiny and pretty and if you click through and look at their profile, you’ll see that it’s actually quite Japanese looking. The heart-shaped logo is cute, though I think I would have preferred to have a totally smooth profile. The checked bit is really cute and the extra 4″ (of height!) can always come in handy. All in all this is a damn fine shoe. These would look so good with a short dress.
You can get them from Modcloth.
Two gladiator sandals I don’t detest one after the other? I may as well quit this shoe blogging business right now!
These unusual cotton and recycled car tyre sandals by Komodo are ethically produced and decidedly different. If you want to get yourself a timeless, somewhat ethnic sandal cheap (they are now reduced), then get in there quick, as they are almost sold out.
There is another similar pair in blue that has a few more sizes left in stock.
You can get them on Fashion Conscience.
I don’t normally like gladiator sandals. Actually, I hate them. I also don’t usually like most of Neu Aura’s shoes, even though they are an ethical, vegan company. Just not my style. Nothing personal.
Still, these two toned vegan gladiator sandals look quite smart. If you wanted to wear sandals and still look presentable and maybe even business-like (depending on the nature of your business – these are flat, after all) then you could easily get away with taking these along.
You can get them from Fashion Conscience.
Summer isn’t over. In fact, in some places, it’s only just beginning!
So here’s a pair of vegan silver sandals, because, well, silver is cool and so are sandals.
These have got a very slight wedge, neat t-bar strapping and a very funky cross-strap design thing going on at the front. They also have a really neat sole with a love heart pattern. I love this sort of attention to detail in shoes!
These cute vegan sandals also come in bronze or shiny black.
I found them on Amazon.
Summer is apparently on its way out, judging by the sudden appearance of autumn boot styles in the shops. Here at Vegan Shoe Addict, though, I’m going to hold on to every last bit of sunshine, damnit!
Here’s some sandals for you, as we still have a few weeks of summer yet.
These simple but fashionable sandals have a slight wedge for a bit of extra height and poise but are still flat enough for comfort. They are made out of a lovely shiny vegan material and come in a whole load of colours apart from this classic black (red, yellow, blue, etc.).
It’s amazing how the addition of something as simple as a bow can make these look instantly rockabilly / retro. They may not be the full blown pin up heel version, but you could easily wear them with your 50s cut dress and go about your business without anyone questioning your retro credentials too much.
You can get them at Office.

As we all know, vegan Camper shoes are as rare as rocking horse sh…oes, though I did write about these Camper wedge sandals a while back. Here’s a flat version for people who don’t like wedges. Isn’t it cute?
They are kinda girlie, kinda preppy and quirky and, being camper, bound to be very comfortable and well made. Check out the cushy-looking sole. I bet these would make great sandals to take on holiday, as you could walk around in them all day long and still be able to walk the next day, unlike some other sandals.
I also love the asymmetric design and the cute flower decoration thing. All in all a really fun and useful sandal.
You can get them on the Amazon site.
With all those ugly sandal-boot and gladiator sandals doing the rounds this season, aren’t you glad to see a pair of sandals that look like actual sandals? I know I am.
Well, here’s a simple vegan slingback sandal that’s current yet timeless. Cheap, cheerful and does the trick. It may not turn heads, but it’ll get you from A to B in relative style and you can wear it with everything your summer wardrobe could throw at it.
It also comes in gold, silver and black and only costs £15 in the Office sale. There seem to be quite a few sizes still in stock but the sale supposedly ends this week, so if you want to pick up a pair of these for this cool price you’d better get your uhh… shoes on.
Here they are on the Office Site.
Summer isn’t over yet, so if you’re still looking for a smartish pair of vegan sandals you could do worse than checking out this style by ethical vegan shoe company Novacas.
They are pretty generic so would go with any look you want to throw at them and while pretty flat, actually have a tiny but chic heel that looks quite flattering while still being close enough to flat to be comfortable.
You can get them from the Mooshoes website.
These retrolicious closed toe nautical espadrilles by Red or Dead are, perhaps unsurprisingly, called “Ahoy”.
They are currently in the Schuh sale for only £15, which I think is a damn fine deal.
They have a serious bit of ankle and heel strap to hold your foot in place and are very sumery and cute.
There are only a few sizes still left, so I’d hurry up if I were you. They also come in classic black and white, like most nautical espadrilles and wedges I’ve seen around this summer.
You can get them in the Schuh Sale.
Here’s a really cool concept! Thanks to Marta at SwapTopShoes.com for letting me know.
These shoes basically come with interchangeable tops, so you can get more wear out of each pair by changing the way the top half looks. There are all kinds of different soles and tops to choose from, from flip flops to these sort of heels I have here.
I think it’s cool as it means you can take one pair of shoes on holiday with you, plus a bunch of tops for them that pack up quite small. Then you can just swap them round to go with your outfits.
Here’s what the bottom bit looks like without a top.

As you can see, the tops clip onto those bits down the side. I’ve not tried them myself to see how strong those bits are. They’d need to be quite strong clips to keep the top on through heavy use!
You can get these and the rest of the range at SwapTopShoes.com
Well, the sale is definitely on at Office Shoes, so it’s time to check out the vegan offerings and grab a few bargains. These sweet and simple vegan slingbacks are only £15 right now and if the British summer is to continue as well as it has been then you can never have too many cute sandals.
I’ve tagged these with retro mostly because of the polka dots, but I think they’re retro-esque enough to play along nicely with vintage stuff. Apart from that they look like they could be fun shoes to wear with just about anything summery.
They come in a bunch of different colours and you can get them from…yup, Office.
Another mad one from Melissa Shoes. How can sandals look at once so stylish and so crazy?
Yes, that is a plastic mouse stuck on the side of the sandal. Don’t ask me why there is a plastic mouse there, there just is. However, the funky pattern makes these sandals look oddly classy for footwear adorned with a plastic mouse. I actually tagged these with smart casual, as I think you could get away with wearing them somewhere that requires a fashionable attire but can tolerate a certain amount of funk.
I found these on the Melissa site (where there are plenty more colours) but these particular ones are on sale from the Asos site.
