Sexy and chic open toe vegan designer boots

New York City – vegan designer shoe capital of the world? Well, it would certainly seem so, as I just discovered yet another proudly vegan, eco-friendly, ethical shoe company that hails from there.

Just feast your eyes on these hot hot boots from the super stylish Cri de Coeur. These may come from NY, but they wouldn’t shame any Italian designer showing on the Milan fashion week catwalk.
They feature classic lines, trendy open toe and sides which is very very now, plus they are handmade, carbon neutral and totally feminine and sexy.

Pair these with a classically cut little black dress and some Gucci sunglasses and you’re laughing. Celebrities, get your wallets!

You (or your personal stylist) can get these from Amazon.com

Gorgeous vegan designer sandals

vegan designer sandals Well, it’s been a while since the last time I wrote about Olsen Haus shoes and their new spring line is out, so now I have an excuse to write about them again. So here we have a gorgeous pair of proper designer sandals – simple, classic and yet unique and exciting at the same time. I like that they make flat shoes too and that they are just as hot as their heeled shoes.

No wonder so many celebs wear their shoes – their designs are just so… slick and clean.

You can get these neat vegan sandals from Olsen Haus.

Vegan Vivienne Westwood rain boots

vegan Vivienne Westwood boots More rain boot fun! This time, though, they’re by Melissa shoes and designed by Vivienne Westwood. Sure, they cost more than your average wellie, but they’re, you know, Vivienne Westwood, so will make you instantly 10 times cooler.

These are cute cute cute with their little side buttons that make them fit in with the military-style look while simultaneously also being young, funky and waterproof. I’m quite charmed by the blue colour, I must say.

If you were going to wear one pair of rain boots this year and look incredibly hip and fashionable nonetheless then these are definitely the ones. Pretty pretty but remember that Melissas run a size small.

I found these here.

Vegan designer pointy toed ankle boots

vegan red ankle boots Lovely, lovely boots from your friendly, ultra-modern vegan designers at Olsen Haus.
They have the coolest shape and the paint splash design makes them look all funky and arty. You know… Like you just stepped out of your art studio to go dance all night at NY’s hottest new club. That kind of thing.

They come in black as well, of course, which would also make you stand out in a crowd but I do so like the red. I guess black with a white paint splash is a bit more versatile, though.

These are really lovely boots. $235 is quite a lot, but at least these actually look like proper designer shoes. So if you want to share the joy of spending a significant part of your monthly income of shoes just like your leather-wearing buddies, then here’s a good opportunity.

You can get these from the Olsen haus site.

Hot vegan designer grey suede boots

vegan grey boots
Oh I do like these. The are called “Blondie”, so I am wondering whether they’re inspired by THE Blondie. It could well be, cause they are sexy but not in a slutty way and have that hot patent (some kind of more enviro-friendly PVC is it?) patch mixed in with the grey suede-like thing.
The heel looks like a reasonable height too, but definitely sexy.
At $265 they may be a bit steep for some, but boy are they hot…
I could talk all day about these boots, really, but I’m not going to. I’m just going to look at them instead and think of where I can get $265 from. If anyone from Olsen Haus is reading, I write even better reviews of shoes that I own :)

I’m not sure where you can get these particular vegan suede boots from, but you can see them on the Olsen Haus website where you can find store locators or email for more info.

Vegan high heel brogues

high heel brogues Another one to add to the list of vegan brogues and wingtip shoes – these lovely vegan high-heel oxfords from Beyond Skin. They’re called “serpent” and it’s not difficult to see why, cause they are totally femme fatale material – so superbly vampy.

The addition of a 4″ heel to the originally masculine oxford pattern is not new, but Beyond Skin do it with style and grace. These definitely top the list for a pin up bombshell vegan brogue.

These shoes are handmade in Spain to be hard-wearing and comfortable. They are certainly hot enough to be party shoes, but also smart enough to be very stylish work shoes. Check out the video of the shoes in action on the Beyond Skin site, very film noir (in a colourful, sunny sort of way).

I’m loving the extra femme fatale red contrasted with black in this colour combo, but you could also happily opt for more traditional grey and black or all-brown versions.

These hot vegan brogues are available from Beyond Skin.

Vegan rocking horse shoes

Here’s a trip down memory lane to warm you up on a cold winter’s day. Remember these?

I was walking past Selfridges today and they had a Vivienne Westwood window display. Obviously, I was checking out the funky footwear and caught a glimpse of these famous rocking horse shoes (as seen here worn by a plastic man).

You may remember these from the time when Naomi Campbell fell over wearing them in 1993. 1993? why that must mean they’re vintage 90s! (don’t mind me, I’m still getting over the fact that 80s stuff is considered retro / vintage now!)

Anyway, these are obviously not vegan – they’re very much leather, as you’d expect from most high fashion designer shoes.

But my encounter with these has jogged my memory and reminded me
I have seen a vegan version (read: cheap knock off) of this iconic shoe floating around on eBay. Sadly, the vegan version is not only made with faux leather but also with faux wood (it seems to be an either or situation for some bizarre reason).

Still, the shoes are vegan so now you too could look like a manga character, or maybe even fall over!

There’s a whole bunch of different styles available from eBay. This style is huge in Japan sothe vast majority of the the current rocking horse shoes come from Japan and Hong Kong.

Here’s one of the many vegan rocking horse shoes listings and here’s a pair of wicked vegan rocking horse boots.
You can, of course, search for “rocking horse shoes” on there and weed out the few and far between originals.

And now for even happier news! The window display also contained a couple of Westwood’s creations for Melissa Shoes, so you can rejoyce, knowing you can actually wear a genuine current fashion trend (bonafide, honest to god Vivienne Westwood shoes) without having to resort to a cheap fake!
